Professional History

Dr Notaras is a specialist consultant anaesthetist in both public and private practice in Sydney, Australia. He provides anaesthesia for a wide array of surgical specialties, including orthopaedics, obstetrics, dentistry, major cancer procedures and ophthalmology. He has a sub-specialty in regional anaesthesia (nerve blocks), which he utilises extensively to manage post operative pain, contributing to a smoother recovery and a better overall experience for his patients.

Dr Notaras completed his specialist anaesthetic training through the St George Hospital network and undertook a regional anaesthesia fellowship at The Wollongong Hospital.  He has also held significant leadership roles within the anaesthetic community including the Co-Chair of the Australia New Zealand College of Anaesthetists Trainee Committee.
