Dr Maggie Bailey
Dr Bailey has been in specialist anaesthetist for 34 years. She completed her undergraduate degrees at The Flinders University of South Australia and trained in anaessia on the Adelaide rotational training scheme. She was a senior registrar in Intensive Care at Flinders Medical Centre and subsequently was appointed as a consultant at The Groote Schuur Hospital in Capetown, South Africa.
Upon return to Australia she worked as a consultant at The Royal Adelaide Hospital and after moving to Sydney in 1992, was appointed as a staff specialist at St George Hospital, Kogarah NSW, where she is a Supervisor of Training. She has also been a Fellowship examiner for the College of Anaesthetists for 12 years.
Dr Bailey’s current specialty practice involves cardiothoracic anaesthesia, cardiopulmonary perfusion, and anaesthesia for liver and major cancer surgery. She has completed a post graduate Diploma in Echocardiography.
She is accredited at The St George Public Hospital, St George Private Hospital, Kareena and Dubbo Private Hospitals.
